Handprinted original linocut print of the English Wolds - beautiful green rolling hills in countless shades, decorated with trees and forests, inspired by the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. It is an 11 layer reduction linocut print.
The artwork is created by hand carving the design into a linoleum block using traditional Japanese printmaking tools, loading oil-based ink onto the block and taking an impression onto paper by passing it through an etching press. This process is repeated for each layer, removing more of the block each time.
Each print is editioned and signed as part of a limited edition run of twenty-one prints. This piece cannot be reprinted as it is a reduction print.
