Inky Cap

Handprinted original linocut print of an inky cap mushroom, handprinted on grey khadi paper.

The design is inspired by my love of fungi and mini prints! The Inky Cap mushroom is so named for the disintegration of the mushroom cap into an ink-like liquid following spore discharge which has been used as an ink for writing. Favourite my shop to see when more mini mushroom prints are added to the collection!

The print is made by hand carving the design into a linoleum block using traditional Japanese printmaking tools, loading the block with ink and taking an impression onto paper. The paper is grey khadi paper, a beautiful handmade paper.

Each print is editioned and signed as part of a limited edition run of fifteen prints.

This piece was created and designed by printmaker Sophia Luna in her home studio in the historical city of York.

Please bear in mind that each piece is printed by hand and therefore will vary slightly.

All prints are posted in heavy duty parcel tubes/envelopes to ensure they are protected throughout transport.
