Saaving Lives Print

This print was created as a fundraiser for the cat charity 'Saaving Lives', currently based in Greece. The charity works to neuter colonies of wild cats to help prevent suffering, cats living with pain and disease, nuisance colonies, and much more. They also raise money to help provide care to cats needing treatment such as antibiotics or surgery. Where they can, they release the neutered cats back into the wild to live with their colony however, there are some instances where they cannot survive on their own. In these cases, Saaving Lives carefully finds new, loving families for these cats to be part of and helps them adjust to life with humans.

All profits from this print will be donated to the charity Saaving Lives to help them continue their mission.

This print was created using traditional Japanese printmaking techniques. The design is handcarved into a linoleum block which is then loaded with relief ink. An impression of the block is taken by passing it through an etching press with paper placed on top. The paper is premium, heavyweight Fabriano Rosaspina printmaker paper.

It was designed, and handprinted by me, Sophia Luna, within the historical walled city of York, England.

The approximate size of the print is as follows:
Paper: 10 x 10 cm.

This is the first edition. There are 31 prints within this edition.

Due to the nature of the printmaking technique and that all prints are handprinted, please bear in mind that every print is different - no two prints are the same - which is something that I believe makes them extra special in their uniqueness!

All orders will be dispatched in board backed envelopes to protect them during transit.
