Original Artwork

All of our original artwork is designed by Sophia in her home studio in the historic, walled city of York.

All of her linocut prints are crafted using the traditional printmaking method. She hand carves her designs into linoleum, creating a beautiful, intricate block. She then loads the block with ink and takes an impression onto heavyweight printmaking paper, creating the pieces you see available in our store.

Our multi-block prints are made using multiple carved linoleum blocks. Our reduction prints are extra special as these can only ever be printed once. More of the design is carved away after each layer is inked and taken an impression of, creating a finished design made up of many, many layers.
